One Sunday after church, Maddy was inspired to play out the Nativity...
Maddy as Mary, Joseph as Joseph, Sarah as the angel and introducing baby walmart as baby Jesus.
In our family's version of the nativity, baby Jesus was under the manger. |
Ben came to adore him... |
It was pretty cute!
We also took pictures for our Christmas card:
Merry Christmas!! |
Joseph and I got to go on our favorite date of the year... Brookgreen Garden's a nights of a thousand candles. It is breath taking! Literally thousands of candles every where, Christmas music, performances... very romantic!
I know these pictures aren't very good, but I'm posting them anyway!
Lots of lights and garden lanterns! |
I love the trees at brookgreen. Especially when there are lots of lights hanging from the branches! |
Garden lights above the walk ways... |
I know this isn't very clear, but it is a pond filled with floating candles, and lights on top of the walls surrounding the court yard... So beautiful! |
Also, not a good picture... I just love how they stick candles inside the brick wall! |
Christmas lights hanging off an oak tree... reflecting in the pond |
While we're there we make sure to go to one performance.. Bill Oberst's one man monologue of "A Christmas Carol" He is amazing! Then we walk around and talk and enjoy all the candles and lights. If you haven't been there... GO! It is worth every dime! I look forward to it every year.
