So.... Today is Sarah's 9 month "Birthday", and she went out of her way to celebrate. She invited two of Myrtle Beach's finest over this morning after dialing 911 while I was drying my hair. I came into the family room and heard beeping coming from the phone. It was that beep that you hear when a call has been disconnected and the phone was never hung up. I look down and right next to Sarah is our cordless phone with the numbers 911 still on the digital display screen. I thought... no way did this baby just do what I think she did. No sooner did I sit down on the couch when someone starts pounding on my front door. I open it and sure enough there is a police officer on my porch and another standing out in the yard. He asked me if I was alright and when I told him everything was fine he wanted to know who had the phone. I explained that my 9 month old had had it and I just turned it off. HOW EMBARRASSING!!! He just leaned toward Sarah and said "Did you dial 911?" I apologized who knows how many times and then wished him a Merry Christmas..... I mean what do you do when your baby calls 911? I'm sure you're thinking.... keep the phone away from the baby! I can assure you this will NOT happen again!

Sarah and Granddaddy were exhausted after watching the South Carolina/Clemson game!
You can't see it in this picture but Sarah is holding onto the remote control too!
We celebrated Maddy's 3rd Birthday at Mama & Papa's house right before our big Thanksgiving Dinner... We still had family in town from Steph's wedding so we celebrated early so we could take advantage of them being there. Maddy was so excited to open her presents. Naturally she was more impressed with the singing card that both Mama and Mamacheri bought her! Next year they can skip the present and just buy her a card that sings...

The singing card in all its glory! Mama and Mamacheri bought her the same card not knowing the other had bought it. Its a good thing though, when she wears one out she'll have a back up!

Completely ignoring the gift in front of her.... still smiling at her card....
I can't believe she is three. My girl is growing up so fast!

Snack time!! Maddy and Sarah love doing everything together... I gave Sarah a cup of juice and Maddy immediately came to lay beside her! They would look at eachother and laugh and then drink some juice... it was so cute!
Thanksgiving at the club house... Maddy loved going down the slide!

We had to keep an eye on her though... if the person in front of her didn't go fast enough she would push them down the slide!

Grandmama and Sarah

Steph and Billy's Wedding

Mom and Steph right after the sealing
No one was listening to her.....

Stephanie had found someone to make her wedding cake, and then they changed their mind... so while trying to make her feel better I volunteered to do it... Obviously I wasn't in the right frame of mind, or I never would have agreed to it!! But I did it.... so here it is in all the stages of its glory.

And yes, it was made out of FunFetti cake mix per the Bride's request!

After the Buttercream Icing...

Now its been covered with Fondant and is ready to be decorated...

Voila! I think It turned out pretty good for the first wedding cake I have ever made! Complete with a glass Columbia Temple on top! The only people that can really appreciate all I went through making this cake are my Grandparents - they watched me every step of the way and helped me get it right! I love you guys!

Stephanie got married on November 21, Andrew and Sarah flew in and Phillip drove up to be there. This is the herd! We left Maddy and Sarah with Grandmama and Granddaddy Jennings so they wouldn't have to ride for 5 1/2 hours in the car!
Columbia, SC Temple

Since Stephanie got married on Maddy's birthday they got her a cake and had all the guests sing to her right before the ring ceremony! They also got her refills for her view finder. Maddy was so excited. Cousin Addison was Maddy's emotional support while all the attention was on her... she wasn't sure she liked everyone singing to her all at one time!

Just wanted to officially document Sarah's hair. It doesn't matter what we do... it sticks straight up as if I rubbed a balloon on her head every morning before we start our day!

Stephanie went through the temple the week before she got married- We brought the girls along and Uncle Ryan watched them for us so we could go in. On the way up there Maddy opened her umbrella and decided it would make the perfect shelter for a nap.

My Parents neighborhood at a little Halloween Party - they had a hayride for the kids to go on so Maddy and I went for a ride. It was just around the block so Maddy wasn't scared at all! Much better than her last hayride experience!
Maddy told Joseph what shapes to cut into our jackolantern. She was proud of the finished product!

Helping to scoop out the guts!

Carving the Jackolantern....

Daddy carved the Pumpking while Sarah and Maddy watched. Sarah played with Maddy's little pumpkin to feel involved :)

My good little witch and my little dalmation

Sarah attended Maddy's Storytime Halloween Party- she liked the napkins....

Showing off in her Halloween costume! She won the cutest little girl costume at our ward trunk or treat!

OH YEAH.
Joseph showing off at the state fair...

Sarah and Daddy bonding over some mini wheats

Maddy got to meet Smart Cat at the State Fair, and It was the highlight of her day. She was star struck!

Daddy pulling the girls around in the laundry basket! Maddy has always enjoyed this game, and now Sarah has been introduced to it. I have a feeling that in a few years Joseph will regret having started this to begin with!

It's been a while since I have updated our blog! Things are a little crazy with Stephanie's wedding coming up! Here is a look back at what the girls have been up to since the beginning of October. Sarah is learning to feed herself... or just make a mess... and both girls enjoy Daddy pulling them around in the laundry basket! Who needs an amusement park when you have that? We pulled out some of Maddy's old toys that Sarah has never seen before, and of course when Maddy saw Sarah playing with them she decided that she wanted them. I think she has played with them more now than she ever did as a baby!

Joseph loves spending time with his girls.... He and Sarah take little naps together, and the three of them always read books together before bed. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever!

We went to North Carolina this past weekend to visit Phillip and his family. They took us to a cute little farm where there were fun fall things to do! Maddy got to pick out a pumpkin and decorate it. ( Sarah was glad because she got to play with it) We got a cute little Candy Corn necklace and bracelet for Maddy to wear. They matched the Candy Corn on her face!!

They had stickers and markers for the kids to decorate their pumpkin with. Maddy took this job very seriously, and carefully picked out which stickers would be best. She was so cute. They had a corn maze for little kids too. It was great because the kids could run around and feel independant while the parents could see where they were at all times! Maddy ran through it and fell.... then she cried and cried ( so I took a picture) It was the last thing she did so I think she had just had enough! She was ready to go...
Sarah isn't in too many pictures! She was just watching everyone and having a good time doing it!! She loved sitting in the grass and tried so hard to pick up the grass and eat it! That's what made it so hard to get a good picture.. she wouldn't look up!

HOORAY for HAY RIDES! Well, I think everyone had fun except Maddy. She was absolutely HORRIFIED. They had some Halloween decorations that shake or move up and down (ghosts, spiders etc.) when someone claps. I've never known them to scare anyone... until Maddy. She was shrieking and shaking- out of absolute terror. I had to give her to Uncle Phillip because the scary...what ever it was-happened to be behind me. She held on to him so tight! Then luckily they had a tall, not so scary Big Bird from Sesame Street hiding behind a tree so that distracted her. Phillip started showing her pictures on his phone too. That helped!

Poor Sarah didn't like the dirt! Or maybe she didn't like whatever Maddy was doing to her head, either way she is not happy in this picture!

Maddy playing bean bag toss with Uncle Phillip. She really didn't get the concept of throwing the bean bags into the holes... or she didn't want to! All she wanted to do was collect all the bean bags and hold them!

There was a barn scene set up so the kids could play or take pictures... it was really cute! There were horses and pigs a lamb and some chickens. Maddy sat on all of them, whether she was supposed to or not!

Maddy and Addison loved looking at the animals - there were goats and pigs and bunnies, they even had a donkey you could ride! After the horror of the hay ride Maddy decided that the donkey was not for her. The only thing she is going to ride is in her car seat in the car or maybe the stroller!

Maddy and Addison had great time running in and out of these tunnels! There were lots of little activities to keep the kids occupied. I'm surprised Maddy wasn't scared of the tunnels... they were kind of creepy looking!

Maddy wanted to get her face painted. Of all the selections she wanted a Frankenstien on her face... She doesn't even know who that is! I talked up the Candy Corn instead and she decided to go with that. She was so good while her face was being painted, and so proud of it when she was done!
