I was lucky enough to be able to see my great grandmother a couple weeks after Christmas... 5 generations in one room! My great grandmother (Mimi), my grandpa (Papa), my mom, me and Maddy and Sarah. Sadly my great grandmother passed away just 2 weeks after this picture was taken. I am so glad she got to see her great great granddaughters before she left us. Maddy and Sarah were just two of her 8 great great grandchildren with two more on the way. What a wonderful woman! Gotta love Myrtle Beach! This was their lame attempt to bring Ice Skating to our great city. For just $7 you could rent your own skates and skate on this wonderful rink of.... plastic. Yup thats right, plastic with this slime of a substance to give you the illusion of ice, and make you slip and fall and feel as though you had landed on ice, but not skate as though you were ON ice!! It was next to impossible to skate on. Luckily my parents got a bunch of free tickets and we all went together. Maddy didn't really enjoy it, everytime Joseph got her on the "ice" she would scream that she needed a rest. Then when he got her back to me she'd say that she was ready to skate. This vicious cycle repeated many times over until we decided to call it a day. Do you know what Maddy's favorite part was? The snowflake stamp they gave her at the beginning so if she left she could return and skate some more. In fact she asked me just the other day where her snowflake stamp went... and we went "ice skating" the saturday after Christmas!

Joseph, Maddy, and my brother Ryan

Maddy expressing her enjoyment... or lack there of! At the end of the day I am so glad we got in for free... it would have been the biggest waste of $7. Nice try Myrtle Beach... lets just stick to what we know... the opposite of snow and ice!!

Maddy has converted Sarah to the joys of the laundry basket. It is not just for laundry, it is a great daddy daughter bonding activity!! And great exercise too! Joseph pulls them all over the house with their baby dolls. "Baby walmart" is riding upside down.. all you see is her feet!

Maddy eating her favorite candy ever... Hershey's Bliss!

I just love this picture! Sarah having a good time eating her eggs...

On Christmas Eve Maddy got to make "Ginger Bread" houses with my siblings... they had graham crackers, frosting and candy to do whatever they wanted with it! After 2 or 3 minutes Maddy decided eating it would be the best way to go. She tried so hard to do what the older kids were doing, but who wants to just let candy sit there just to look at? Definately NOT Maddy!

Maddy made sugar cookies at Grandmama's house on Christmas Eve as well! She loved being apart of the action. She proved to be an excellent stamper! We decided that stamping the cookies would be easier than using cookie cutters.... and faster too! It was a crazy fun filled day, going to see both families is exhausting but it's great to be able to share the holiday with everyone. I'm so glad both sets of Maddy and Sarah's grandparents live less than 20 minutes from our house!

Maddy's Loot...
Sarah's Loot...

Here is Sarah surrounded by candy and toys. Who knew all she wanted was some ribbon to play with? ...I wish I had known this before I went shopping for her gifts!

My sweet daughter explaining to Santa that since she just got this new baby, all she needed for Christmas was some candy. Santa was very understanding :)

This face is priceless! This was Sarah's first time meeting Santa, and I do not think she was impressed at all!
